The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSConverting a DBFLT8 to DECIMAL fails if the value is between -0.00001 and 0.00001, excluding zero, even if the scale and precision for the decimal are appropriate such that precision should not be lost.
WORKAROUNDConvert from a SQLCHAR to DECIMAL.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. This problem does not occur in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. |
