SYMPTOMSThe distribution tasks report failure with error message 2627:
Violation of %s constraint '%.*s': Attempt to insert duplicate key in object '%.*s'.Depending on the definition of the subscribed table, the error message may alternately be error 2601 or 2626. The error always occurs after a retry attempt after a deadlock at the subscriber.
WORKAROUNDThere are three possible workarounds to this problem:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. This problem does not occur in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5.
