BUG: Tasks Scheduled for Every N Days Runs Daily

SYMPTOMS

The tasks scheduled to run every N days runs daily after the first execution.

WORKAROUND

Instead of using a daily task to run on alternate days or every N days, use a weekly task to run on specified days (for example: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
