SYMPTOMSThe extra SELECT keyword in the selection list of an aggregate function may cause a thread level access violation, and result in the following error message:
This command did not return data, and it did not return any rows. DB-Library Process Dead - Connection Broken. WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, remove the extra SELECT keyword.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server 6.5. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. For more information, contact your primary support provider.
