SUMMARYTo transfer Korean Double Byte Character Set (DBCS) characters from one SQL Server to another SQL Server, you must do one of the following:
MORE INFORMATIONWhen a Microsoft SQL Server is not installed with the Korean Character Set and sort order (Code Page 949), it is still capable of storing Korean characters in a SQL datatype that provides sufficient storage. However, because the U.S. version of Windows NT is Unicode based, transferring these DBCS characters from one SQL Server to another by running BCP commands or using Transfer Manager under the U.S.version of Windows NT will generate invalid data.
