The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThe DISK INIT command allows logical database disk device names that do not follow the rules for valid identifiers. As an example, "5TEST" would be allowed under OS/2 Microsoft SQL Server but not with the Windows NT version of Microsoft SQL Server.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 4.2 for OS/2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
