FIX: Add File Dialog Forces Uppercase Filename

SYMPTOMS

When you select a file with the SourceSafe.Add dialog with a mixed case name under SS NT, it changes the name to all uppercase.

WORKAROUND

Use the Windows File Manager and drag-and-drop to add the file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This bug has been corrected in Visual SourceSafe version 4.0.
