XL: Recorded Macro to Replace All on Grouped Sheets Doesn't Work

SYMPTOMS

When you use a recorded Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications macro in Microsoft Excel that uses the Replace method on a grouped selection of worksheets, only the active sheet of the group is changed when you play back the macro.

The following sample macro replaces the text "name1" with "name2" in all worksheets within a workbook.

   Sub NewReplace()
       For Each x In Worksheets
           x.Cells.Replace What:="name1", Replacement:="name2"
       Next
   End Sub

   Sub NewReplace2()
       For Each x In Sheets (Array("Sheet1", "Sheet3"))
           x.Cells.Replace What:="name1", Replacement:="name2"
       Next
   End Sub
