Macro to Move Insertion Point to the Beginning of a Paragraph

NOTE: If the insertion point is already at the beginning of the paragraph it is not moved.

   Sub BeginningParagraph()
      'The variable char returns the number of characters moved.
      Dim char As Long
      char = Selection.StartOf(Unit:=wdParagraph, Extend:=wdMove)
   End Sub

Macro to Move Insertion Point to the End of a Paragraph

NOTE: If the insertion point is already at the end of the paragraph it is not moved.

   Sub EndParagraph()
      'Char returns the number of characters moved.
      Dim char As Long
      char = Selection.EndOf(Unit:=wdParagraph, Extend:=wdMove)
      Selection.MoveLeft Unit:=wdCharacter, Count:=1
   End Sub

Macro to Select the Current Paragraph

The following Visual Basic macro selects the current paragraph.

   Sub SelectCurrentParagraph()
       Selection.Paragraphs(1).Range.Select
   End Sub
