PPT97: Typing Is Slow When Recording a MacroLast reviewed: December 2, 1997Article ID: Q163114 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThe characters take a long time to appear on-screen while you are typing in Microsoft PowerPoint 97.
CAUSEThis behavior occurs if you are typing while you are recording a macro. When you record a macro, PowerPoint generates Visual Basic for Applications commands for each keystroke you make. This overhead causes a delay and your keystrokes are not sent to the display as fast as normal.
RESOLUTIONTo restore normal typing speed, stop recording the macro. To do this, point to Macros on the Tools menu, and click Stop Recording.
