The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you open a file that contains a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications macro, a macro virus alert message fails to appear even though Macro Virus Protection is selected on the General tab in the Options dialog box.
CAUSEThis problem may occur when you open a file that contains Visual Basic macro code in a class module or when you open a file that contains code that is associated with a UserForm.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
