SYMPTOMSWhen values in a workbook are calculated, incorrect values may appear in the active worksheet.
CAUSEThis problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
RESOLUTIONTo correct this problem, install Microsoft Excel 97 Service Release 1 (SR-1). To work around this problem, scroll down the worksheet so the cells that display incorrect values no longer appear on the screen. Scrolling forces Excel to redraw the screen, which causes the correct values to be displayed on the active worksheet.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel 97 SR-1. For additional information about SR-1, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
