PRJ98: Subscript Out of Range Err Using PercentComplete Property

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you set the PercentComplete property of the ActiveProject object, you receive the following error message:

   Run-time error '9':

   Subscript out of range

CAUSE

You cannot set the percent complete for the project by using the PercentComplete property of the ActiveProject object.

To set the percent complete for the project, set the percent complete for the project summary task as the following sample code demonstrates:

   Sub Macro1()
      ActiveProject.ProjectSummaryTask.PercentComplete = 60
   End Sub

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
