XL98: Problems Displaying "About Visual Basic" Dialog Box

SYMPTOMS

In the Visual Basic Editor, if you click "About Microsoft Visual Basic" on the Apple menu, the dialog box does not appear.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if a Help window, such as the Visual Basic for Applications Help window, is currently visible on the screen.

RESOLUTION

If you need to view the "About Microsoft Visual Basic" dialog box, close any visible Help windows, and then click "About Microsoft Visual Basic" on the Apple menu.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
