The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSThe error message "Printer Not ready" is returned from Microsoft Windows 95 when attempting to print to a network printer with a space in the name of the server.
WORKAROUNDRename the computer such that its name does not include an embedded space, or create a local printer that has the specified port redirected to the shared network printer. For more information on this please refer to the Microsoft Windows 95 documentation.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Visual Basic version 3.0 for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
