FIX: GPF When Setting Font of Multi-selected ControlsLast reviewed: December 18, 1997Article ID: Q168290 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen using Visual Basic 5.0 in Multiple Document Interface (MDI) mode, it is possible to display the Properties window either docked to the main window (the default) or floating. If the Properties window is floating and two or more controls are selected and you change the Font property of the controls using the floating Properties window, Visual Basic 5.0 will crash with the message:
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor. VB5 caused an invalid page fault in module VB5.EXE" RESOLUTIONEnsure that the property window is docked when changing the font property of multiple controls. Alternatively, if the property window is undocked, change the font properties for each control individually.
