SYMPTOMSWhen an invalid pathname is passed as a parameter to the GetAttr method of the FileSystem control, the following error message may occur:
-2147024713 - "Cannot create a file when that file already exists"The correct error returned should be "Invalid Pathname" or "File not Found."
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
