BUG: Checkboxes Always Appear Three-Dimensional (3D)

SYMPTOMS

When the Appearance property of a Checkbox is set to "0 – Flat," the checkbox always appears as three-dimensional or "1 - 3D." The backcolor of the checkbox still behaves normally when the Appearance property is set to "0 – Flat," and defaults to the window background color of the system.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
