BUG: Form Is Movable When Maximized

Last reviewed: February 10, 1998
Article ID: Q180772
The information in this article applies to:
  • Windows CE Toolkit for Visual Basic 5.0, version 1.0

SYMPTOMS

When you set a Form's WindowState property to "2 - Maximized," the form can be moved when it is dragged by clicking on the titlebar.

RESOLUTION

The standard for Windows CE applications is to have no titlebar on maximized forms. To do this, set the BorderStyle property of the Form to "0 - None" and the Windowstate property to "2 - Maximized." Be sure to include a button, menu, or some other means of closing the form (using the Hide method or the App.End method).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
