SYMPTOMSCompiling code using the /Ol, /Oe, /Og, or /Ox compiler options may generate the following internal compiler error, but only when the compiler is run from MS-DOS, not from an MS-DOS prompt in Windows:
fatal error C1001: internal compiler error (compiler file 'msc2.cpp', line 992) RESOLUTIONTo work around this problem, you can do one of three things:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed above. This problem was corrected in Visual C++ version 1.5.
