SYMPTOMSPerforming the following procedures may cause Developer Studio to crash when both Visual C++ and Visual Test are installed:
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down" Details.. MSDEV caused an invalid page fault in module MSTEST.PKG at 0137:52197c6b. RESOLUTIONInstead of loading Visual Test projects from Explorer, File Manager, or the command line, launch the Developer Studio first, and then open the Visual Test projects by selecting File | Open Workspace. This will not cause the Developer Studio to crash.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
