BUG: Misleading Default Pushbutton Painting

SYMPTOMS

Under some conditions in Windows 3.0 and Windows 3.1, more than one pushbutton (or Command button)(style BS_PUSHBUTTON) may be painted with the dark border used to designate a default pushbutton. A default pushbutton is the pushbutton designated to be activated when the user presses the ENTER key.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in Windows version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
