Last reviewed: September 18, 1995
Article ID: Q122438
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Win32 Device Development Kit (DDK) for Windows NT, version 3.5

SYMPTOMS

When attempting to build drivers with the October 1994 Premium Release of the Windows NT DDK, an error occurs stating that the build environment could not find the header file PSHPACK4.H.

CAUSE

This is a symptom of using the wrong compiler version with the Windows NT version 3.5 DDK. The required header files are located in Microsoft Visual C++ version 2.0.

RESOLUTION

To use the Windows NT version 3.5 DDK with all available features, compile with the compiler that ships with Microsoft Visual C++ version 2.0.
