  • Microsoft Win32 Device Development Kit (DDK) for Windows 95, version 4.0

SUMMARY

The UNIDRV.DLL in Windows 3.1 does not fully support user-defined paper sizes. However, the UNIDRV.DLL in Windows 95 does fully support user- defined paper sizes.

MORE INFORMATION

UNIDRV.DLL in Windows 3.1x doesn't fully implement the user-defined paper size option DMPAPER_USER. There is no way to simulate user-defined paper sizes when using the Windows 3.1x UNIDRV.DLL. A customer cannot make modifications to the Windows 3.1 UNIDRV.DLL since the source is not available for it.

The only way to get support for user-defined paper sizes is to use Windows 95 or for to write your own stand alone printer driver for Windows 3.1.

The Windows 95 UNIDRV.DLL will not work under Win 3.1x.
