SUMMARY

Windows 95 printer drivers are only 16-bit.

MORE INFORMATION

In Windows 95, 32-bit printer drivers do not exist. Windows 95's spool subsystem is 32-bit but parts of GDI are still 16-bit. GDI communicates directly with your printer driver and assumes that the printer driver entry points are 16-bit.

You must use a 16-bit compiler, such as MSVC 1.5, when you build a Windows 95 printer driver.
