SUMMARYMCIWAVE driver allocates memory to buffer audio data during playback or recording. This article describes how to use the Control Panel to set the amount of memory allocated by MCIWAVE driver.

For Windows NT System
select a buffer that stores between 2 and 9 seconds of audio data, as desired. For Windows 95 System
select a buffer that stores between 2 and 9 seconds of audio data, as desired.In both systems, the default setting is 4 seconds.
