PRB: MC 3.51 Does Not Work with UNICODE

SYMPTOMS

MC.EXE (Message Compiler) Version 3.51 (included in Visual C++ 4.0) does not work with UNICODE. It creates an ANSI file instead of a UNICODE file.

CAUSE

This behavior is by design.

STATUS

This problem has been fixed in MC 4.0 version (included in Visual C++ 4.2) which works with UNICODE.
