Using MAP to View Your Current Drive MappingsTo view the mappings of all your current local and network drives, issue the following MAP command and press ENTER:
MAPYou will see information similar to the following:
Drive A: Maps to a local drive Drive B: Maps to a local drive Drive C: Maps to a local drive Drive F: = EDGAR/SYS:HOME/JOE Drive G: = EDGAR/SYS: _____ SEARCH1: = Z:. [EDGAR/SYS:PUBLIC] SEARCH2: = Y:. [EDGAR/SYS:WINDOWS] SEARCH3: = X:. [EDGAR/SYS:WINDOWS/VGAWIN]The three SEARCH drives listed will replace the original PATH command when you log into Novell. If you type PATH at the DOS prompt, you see the following:
PATH=Z:.;Y:.;X:. Using FLAG to View File Attributes in Your Default DirectoryTo view the attributes of all the files in your default directory, issue the following command and press ENTER:
FLAGInformation similar to the following will appear on your screen:
SALES.EXE Shareable ReadOnly SALES.BAT Shareable Read/Write SALES.HLP Shareable ReadOnly SALES.DAT Non-shareable Read/Write Transactional IndexThe first column shows the filename. The second column shows whether the file is flagged Shareable or Non-shareable. The third shows whether the file is flagged Read-Only or Read-Write. The fourth and fifth columns show whether the file is flagged Transactional or Indexed. You don't need to worry about the fourth and fifth columns.
