SUMMARY

The NCR 486-25 has an internal cache that causes problems during an installation of Microsoft Windows 3.0. If the computer stops (hangs) on the second disk during Windows installation and none of the normal troubleshooting corrects the problem, try turning off the internal caching through the CMOS setup for this machine.
