SYMPTOMSThe Microsoft Serial Mouse with PS/2 adapter does not work correctly on the PS/2 port of some Austin Computers with Microsoft Windows version 3.0. When you use the PS/2 port, there is no control of the mouse in either standard or 386 enhanced mode of Windows. There is no problem with mouse control in real mode.
WORKAROUNDTo have the mouse function correctly, connect the mouse to a serial port.
