This article describes how to export graphic images from Microsoft Paintbrush to CorelDRAW!.

To export images from Paintbrush into CorelDRAW!, do the following:

  1. Open or create a graphic image in Paintbrush.

  2. Select the File menu and choose Save As.

  3. Click the Options button and choose PCX as the file format to save as. Give the file a name and save it.

  4. Open CorelDRAW!.

  5. From the File menu, choose Import. Select the PCX option on the Import dialog box.

  6. Select the PCX file created in Paintbrush and click OK.

NOTE: The Image appears as a single bitmap object (black and white) in CorelDRAW!. It can be resized, but some distortion may occur depending on how much you resize the image. The image prints as it looks on screen, not at the printer's resolution.
