Invalid Set Temp Directory Name Example in User's Guide

The information in this article applies to:

Microsoft Windows operating system versions 3.0, 3.0a

On page 538 of the "Microsoft Windows User's Guide," for version 3.0 contains the following example of the set temp directory variable:

   set temp=c:\tempfiles

This example is incorrect. This is a nine character directory name; MS-DOS has a limit of eight characters.

This error does not occur in later versions of Microsoft Windows.
