Problem Exiting Windows Setup Using Keyboard

SYMPTOMS

You have problems using keyboard commands when running Windows Setup. You also may experience problems using the mouse, and you may be unable to use the keyboard or mouse to cancel Setup.

WORKAROUND

To access the menu, you may either press F10 or ALT key, then use the cursor keys to select menu options.

To close Setup, press ALT+SPACEBAR, then press C or use ALT+F4.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows version 3.0. This problem was corrected and does not occur in later versions of Windows.
