Double-Clicking on Desktop Starts Multimedia Screen Saver

SUMMARY

If you double-click anywhere on the Windows desktop with the right mouse button, and you have set up one of the screen savers provided with Windows with Multimedia Extensions, the screen saver starts.

Windows with Multimedia Extensions comes with six different screen savers you can choose by selecting Screen Saver from the Control Panel. Any one of these savers can be customized through the Control Panel, but no special selection must be made to get the screen saver to activate with the right mouse button.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

  1. Set up a screen saver by selecting Screen Saver from the Control Panel.

  2. Close the Control Panel and minimize the Program Manager.

  3. Double-click the right mouse button with the pointer on the desktop.
