GP Fault in FINSTALL.DLL Copying Turbo Tax Soft Fonts

SUMMARY

Copying Turbo Tax downloadable fonts between ports can cause a general protection (GP) fault in FINSTALL.DLL under the Microsoft Windows.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, add soft fonts at each port rather than copying between ports.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the font installer under Windows version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
