If you connect a network drive at the MS-DOS prompt or with an application other than File Manager, the drive icon may not be visible in File Manager.

In Windows 3.1, pressing the F5 key in File Manager updates the network drive icons. In Windows 3.0 and 3.0a, pressing the F5 key does not update the network drive icons.
