SUMMARY

The Mouse Systems Trackball II, M4, and M5 three-button mouse will only work with Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1 in two-button mode. When the three-button mode is enabled, the mouse buttons may act as if they are depressed, even when the buttons have been released.

MORE INFORMATION

According to Mouse Systems technical support, there is a switch on the bottom of the three-button mouse that allows a toggle between two- and three-button mode. The Trackball II, M4, and M5 will work with the following configuration provided the switch on the bottom of the mouse device is set to two-button mode:

Mouse Systems serial or bus mouse
Mouse Systems serial mouse on COM2
   Microsoft, or IBM PS/2
