SYMPTOMS

Messages similar to the following are displayed when you try to paste a Microsoft Draw object into a Microsoft Windows Write document:

ED: An error has occurred in your application. If you choose to
ignore, you should save your work in a new file. If you choose to
   close, your application will terminate.

   -and-

   Application Error
ED caused a general protection fault in Module HPPCL5A.DRV at
   0006:OE88

The first message gives you the option to Close or Ignore; however, the Ignore option may not work correctly, and the message may repeatedly display on the screen.

When you choose Close, a general protection (GP) fault error occurs.
