Help Topic with Help Already Open Causes Error

SYMPTOMS

If you start Help from the Start menu, click the Contents tab, double-click the How To topic, double-click the Use A Network topic, double-click the Finding A Computer topic, then open a Help file and view Help topics from Windows Explorer, you receive the following error message:

   Winhelp: This program has performed an illegal operation and will be
   shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
