Kerning System TrueType Fonts Does Not Change Appearance

SYMPTOMS

Kerning the TrueType fonts Arial, Courier New, and Times New Roman when using extended characters does not change the characters' appearance. For

example, kerning    does not result in any visual difference.

CAUSE

System TrueType fonts contain no kerning information for extended characters.

RESOLUTION

There is no workaround.
