  • Microsoft Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

With Novell NetWare Client version 4.10 (VLM.EXE) installed, your computer stops responding (hangs) or restarts when you shut down your computer.

CAUSE

VNETWARE.386 version 2.04 may cause the system to fault because it calls INT21 on system_Exit. This call is not allowed in Windows 95.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, obtain the latest version of the NetWare redirector from Novell.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior may prevent Windows 95 from flushing the network cache and from closing all the files it has opened.

NetWare Client is manufactured by Novell, Inc., a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.
