Some US Robotics Modems May Not Dial Long Numbers

SYMPTOMS

When you use Phone Dialer to dial a long telephone number (greater than 35 digits), all of the digits may not be dialed.

CAUSE

You are using a US Robotics Sportster 28.8 modem that does not dial more than 35 digits.

RESOLUTION

For a short-term workaround, manually dial the telephone number. Then, contact US Robotics for a firmware upgrade for your modem.
