This article describes how to install Windows 3.1 drivers for use in
Windows 95.

Printer Drivers
- Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click Printers.
- Double-click the Add Printer icon.
- Click Next.
- Click either Local Printer or Network Printer, then click Next.
- Click the Have Disk button.
- In the Copy Manufacturer's Files From box, enter the drive and path
for the OEMSETUP.INF file for the driver you want to install, then
click Next.
- Click the driver you want to install, then click OK
Video Drivers
- Use the right mouse button to click the desktop, then click Properties
on the menu that appears.
- On the Settings tab, click the Change Display Type button.
- In the Adapter Type area, click the Change button.
- Click the Have Disk button.
- In the Copy Manufacturer's Files From box, enter the drive and path
for the OEMSETUP.INF file for the video driver you want to install,
then click Next.
- Click the video mode, then click OK.
Unlisted Hardware
- Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Add New Hardware icon, then click Next.
- When you are prompted "Do you want Windows to search for your new
hardware" click No, then click Next.
- Click the type of hardware you want to install, then click Next.
- Click the Have Disk button.
- In the Copy Manufacturer's Files From box, enter the drive and path
for the OEMSETUP.INF file for the driver you want to install, then
click OK.
- Click the driver you want to install, then click OK.
Note
The steps in the sections above work only for installing Windows 3.1
drivers from disks that contain an Oemsetup.inf file. If the disk you are
using does not contain this file, contact the driver manufacturer for
assistance in installing the driver.
