System Error Trying to Suspend Global Dynamics 466 Computers

SYMPTOMS

The Global Dynamic 466 computer produces a system error message on a blue screen when you select the Suspend command on the Start Menu in Windows 95.

CAUSE

The APM BIOS in the Global Dynamic 466 computer is defective and does not support the suspend process correctly.

RESOLUTION

Do not use the Suspend command. If you want to remove the Suspend command from the Start menu, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control Panel on the menu that appears.

  2. In Control Panel, double-click the Power icon.

  3. In the Power Properties dialog box, click the "Never Show Suspend Command in Start Menu" option.
