If you remove a game port device in Device Manager, Windows 95 may not detect the game port when you try to redetect it.

RESOLUTION

To redetect the game port, first remove the sound card drivers in Device Manager. Then, run the Add New Hardware tool in Control Panel and allow Windows 95 to search for new hardware.
