This article describes how to enable support for multiple languages in Windows 95.

To install multilanguage support in Windows 95, follow these steps:

  1. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.

  2. Click the Windows Setup tab.

  3. Click the Multilanguage Support check box to select it.

  4. Click OK.

To enable support for a specific language after following the above steps, follow these steps:

  1. In Control Panel, double-click Keyboard.

  2. On the Language tab, click Add.

  3. Click the language you want to use, and then click OK.

  4. Click OK.

Notes

  • Multilanguage support is included in the CD-ROM version of Windows 95, but not in the floppy disk version. If you are using the floppy disk version of Windows 95 and you want to enable multilanguage support, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base for information about the availability of multilanguage support:
