SYMPTOMSWhen you try to change a network password using the Passwords tool in Control Panel, you may receive an error message similar to one of the following messages:
CAUSEThis error can occur if you have multiple network clients installed and you are logged on using a different user name for each client. For example, this error occurs if you use one user name for the Client for Microsoft Networks and another user name for the Client for NetWare networks.
RESOLUTIONTo work around this behavior, use either of the following methods:
STATUSMicrosoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
