SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Suspend command on certain Gateway laptop computers, battery power drains. The following Gateway computers are known to exhibit this behavior:
CAUSEThe BIOS in the computer requires an upgrade.
RESOLUTIONUpgrade the computer's BIOS. Contact Gateway Technical Support for additional information.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen Suspend mode is in use, the PCMCIA slots should be receiving 0 volts. On the computers listed above, the PCMCIA slots receive 2.5 volts, draining the battery.
