Incorrect DAC Type May Be Reported in Display Properties

SYMPTOMS

When you view the Advanced Display properties, your display adapter DAC type may be incorrectly reported as Brooktree 485.

STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION

The display configuration is correct. However, Windows 95 may display an incorrect DAC type in some cases.

The DAC type is the type of Digital-to-Analog converter chip on your display adapter.
