Comic Sans Font Not Available in Windows Messaging

SYMPTOMS

When you open a document in Windows Messaging, the Comic Sans font may not be available even though it is present in the Fonts folder.

CAUSE

The Comic Sans fonts may not have been correctly set up.

RESOLUTION

Use the following steps to activate the Comic Sans font:

  1. In Control Panel, double-click Fonts.

  2. Double click the Comic Sans font.

  3. Click Done.

STATUS

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

When a font is not available, Windows Messaging uses the next available font, which may make the text unreadable.
